Old Business

Pitcairn Alumni Week

1. The Museum will be open on July 28, 2012 in conjunction with the Alumni Picnic in town from 12 – 2 PM. The Pitcairn Archives will also be open. Carl, Eric, and Sharon will commit to be present.

b. Jim Rullo asked about the backround of the Alumni Museum and why we are not combined. They are a sub-category of the museum being only interested in schools. We discussed the future and we would remain open to combining should the option occur-general opinion.

2. We have a display at the Westinghouse Museum that needs to be picked up. Eric asked about the group getting in to pick up items from the display. The group agreed to delay any new display making there until fall.

New Business:

3. Fundraisers

Musical venue, talked overnight trip with historical theme (would need to start right away), Angela Rocco to take pictures of architectural details - Jim said that the cost and the work involved often do not justify the funds raised. Reprinting of the 1994 Centennial Book (none available).

4. Community Days in September, no announcement yet. Founder’s Day next year, discussed ideas for the Founder’s Day committee to improve next year’s event on June 8th.

5. Carl noted that the bulbs are all working on the lights; we don’t know who to thank.

Sharon motioned to adjourn the meeting, Phylis seconded at 7:59 PM.
