WILLIAM OAKLEY STIFFLER, CLASS OF 1920. DIED JULY 11, 1925 IN GAS EXPLOSION IN PITTSBURGH, HE WAS IN THE HOSPITAL FOR A DAY OR TWO BEFORE HE PASSED OF SEVERE
BURNS TO HIS BODY. HE WAS THE OLDEST SON OF IDA & SETH C. STIFFLER.
I AM THE OLDEST GRANDDAUGHTER OF THE YOUNGEST STIFFLER, BETTE MAE STIFFLER. SHE MARRIED VINCENT "BUD" DONALDSON IN 1940. MY MOTHER IS VICTORIA LEE DONALDSON. THEY DIVORCED 5 YEARS LATER AND SHE MARRIED A GREAT MAN, MERLE ALVIN JONES FROM TURTLE CREEK. HE SERVED IN WWII A FOUR SILVER STAR ARMY SURVIVOR. HE LANDED ON D-DAY IN NORMANDY BEACH FRANCE.
